Hello! I'm Tapan, and I have a passion for creating things on the internet. My journey into Software Engineering began in 2017 when I decided to experiment with editing custom web designs. It was through this process of hacking together web pages and working on small tasks that I gained valuable experience and knowledge in HTML and CSS.

Fast-forward to today, and I’ve had the privilege of working at a start-up. My main focus these days is building applications and inclusive digital experiences at California State University, Long Beach - IRA Department for all the students.

    • Developed a full-stack application that allows users to predict kidney function before and after donation for living donors
    • Implemented a test suite and adopted test-driven development practices leveraging Cypress for end-to-end testing and Jest for unit testing, to increase code coverage from 20% to over 85% and ensure early detection of defects.

    • Designed, developed, and deployed features for a SaaS appointment scheduler with 100,000+ users, enabling businesses to integrate scheduling widgets into their websites, using Angular, TypeScript, and NoSQL.
    • Optimized CI/CD pipelines with YAML configurations for micro-frontend repositories, including admin dashboards and widgets, reducing downtime and accelerating the release cycle by 2x.
    • Designed a responsive, custom calendar UI, activity posting and appointment scheduling features using Material UI.
    • Engineered a monitoring system to report production errors after each release, sending real-time alerts to the team.

    • Revamped a cross-platform Single Page Application (SPA) to support real-time visualizations of 100+ garbage trucks’ locations, fill levels, and sensor data, using the Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
